Thassos Christian Fellowship has
has the following goals:
To
hold church
meetings for all Christians
both local and visiting. Our heart's
desire is for all Christians, regardless
of their background to have a place
to meet with God our Father and
each other. Something like A BIG
GODLY EMBRACE for all those who
yearn to worship God the Father
in spirit and in truth.
To
organize Bible
courses on timely themes
for the instruction and edification
of the saints. To offer Christian
counseling to all those in
need so that they can enjoy a closer,
more confident relationship with
God and a fuller, sweeter life.
To
organize Bible
tours to Philippi and other
sites where the apostle Paul established
churches in Macedonia. We also plan
to do walks
and boat rides around the
island where we can get away and
draw nearer to God.
To
reach the lost with the good news of the
gospel of Jesus Christ by being
witnesses for our Lord in deed and word.

Since
our first worship service in
the summer of 2001 our vision
has been for Thassos Christian
Fellowship to be a haven from
the stormy seas of daily life.
A shelter of peace and joy for
Christians near and far. The
world with its overwhelming
complexity and multiple cares
robs us of the simplicity which
is in Christ and the blessing
of being together with our brothers
and sisters. What better place
to rest and refresh than in
the arms of our Father God and
in the blessed company of Christian
brothers and sisters while on
holiday on this beautiful island.
Thassos Christian Fellowship
seeks to build this togetherness
among Christians from all over
the world who want to spend
their holidays the Christian
way. |
"And
all they that believed were together
.
And they, continuing daily with one accord
in the temple and breaking bread from
house to house, did eat their meat with
gladness and singleness of heart , Praising
God and having favour with all the people."
(Acts 2:44-47)
"Behold how good and how pleasant
it is for brethren to dwell together in
unity!" (Psalms 133:1)
Our further vision is to establish
a Christian
Holiday Home "The Pavilion"
where needy Christians can rest
and recuperate. A place where they
can find the care and counseling
they need to get back on their feet
and ahead with their lives. A shelter
of love, hospitality and encouragement.
A place of unity of the spirit in
the bond of peace.
"One thing
have I desired of the Lord that will I
seek after; that I may dwell in the house
of the Lord all the days of my life, to
behold the beauty of the Lord, and to
inquire in his temple. For in the time
of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion:
in the secret of his tabernacle shall
he hide me, he shall set me up upon a
rock." (Psalms 27: 4-5)
In order to accomplish these goals, Thassos
Christian Fellowship has organized itself
legally in the form of a Christian society
with a charitable status.
